A “powerhouse trio” of communications strategists who met while working in communications and public policy in the White House have announced the formation of Original Strategies, a female-founded strategic communications and public affairs agency. Their focus will center around advising CEOs, founders and leaders.

Principals are Kelley McCormick, most recently with Under Armour in Baltimore as SVP of Global Corporate Communications; Debra Eschmeyer, whose background includes executive director of First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” initiative, senior White House Policy Advisor for Nutrition, as well as the VP of Communications and Community Affairs at Danone; and Joanna Rosholm, who served as press secretary in the Office of First Lady Michelle Obama and most recently held the role of Deputy Head of Global Brand Strategy at Snap Inc.

Additionally, the execs have held corporate C-suite roles, advising leaders at the top of the tech, health, consumer, retail, food & beverage industries on communications, marketing, brand, and public policy.

“With our decades of experience at the intersection of press, politics and policy, we specialize in helping corporations drive meaningful impact as the country grows to expect more and more from the private sector and its leaders,” McCormick said.

Original is offering the following services: message development and strategy mapping; crisis preparedness and management; executive visibility and thought leadership planning; sustainability, social responsibility and philanthropic strategy and media training.
