WTOP News debuted its new morning drive anchor team, Michelle Basch and John Aaron, two familiar WTOP voices.
Basch joined WTOP in 2006 as a reporter. Prior to taking on her new role in morning drive, she co-anchored evenings on WTOP with Dimitri Sotis. A Cleveland native, she started her career in news radio in Charleston, SC, and also worked in Cleveland and Los Angeles.
Aaron began his career at WTOP in 2007. Since joining WTOP, he has served as both a reporter and weekend anchor. Listeners have also heard him fill-in frequently for the former morning team of Bruce Alan and Joan Jones, who left WTOP at the end of 2022 via a voluntary buyout. Aaron started his broadcast career in Gettysburg, PA, before coming home to D.C.
WTOP serves the Washington, D.C., metro area 24/7 with news, traffic and weather. WTOP can be heard on 103.5 FM, 107.7 FM and 103.9 FM. WTOP’s live stream and news content are also available on any device at WTOP.com, the WTOP app and on smart speakers like Alexa and Google Home.
