WUSA’s Adam Longo posted the photo above on Instagram, noting “Here’s a pic of my work life through the end of September. More to come soon.”  The post, plus the removal of his bio from WUSA’s list of news personnel, seems to confirm that he has exited the station.  FTVLive reported that after 9 years at Tegna’s WUSA in DC, “Anchor/Reporter Adam Longo is leaving the station. While Longo is leaving WUSA, he’s not leaving the DC market. Sources tell FTVLive that Longo is crossing the street to Sinclair’s WJLA.”

Capitol Communicator has a report that two TV anchor/reporters - Adam Longo and Delia Goncalves - may exit WUSA.

According to LinkedIn, Longo states that since October 2015 he has been “a news anchor and reporter at WUSA-TV, the CBS affiliate station serving the Washington, D.C. media market. I specialize in covering local, state, and national politics through deep source relationships, in-depth analysis and investigative storytelling. I have won 15 EMMY awards, four D.C. SPJ Dateline awards, and a regional Edward R. Murrow award for my excellence in broadcast journalism.

“I am also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Maryland, where I teach broadcast writing and reporting to aspiring journalists. I am proficient in video production, video editing, and digital and social media content creation. I thrive in complex project development and management, team leadership, detail-oriented tasks, and deadline intensive work. My mission is to inform, engage, and empower the viewers with accurate, timely, and relevant news.

“Additionally, I serve as President of the National Capital/Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) which includes the entirety of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. The mission is to guide our 1,200+ members through the process of submitting and winning an EMMY award and to organize our annual awards gala attended by nearly 1,000 people.”

Of note, Delia Goncalves, a reporter and anchor at WUSA, left the station after 14 years, butshe did not announce where she was going.  Another report said Goncalves was leaving for a communications job outside of TV news.
