Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) announced its 2017 Board of Directors. The new board is as follows:

“It’s an honor to work with this dedicated and talented Board of Directors as President of WWPR,” said Kelly Mack, 2017 WWPR President. “We’re thrilled to continue our work of cultivating a professional network for communicators in the DC area through providing professional development opportunities, networking, knowledge sharing, and honoring accomplished women communicators through our signature award events.”
During 2017, WWPR’s leadership team will continue to work with the organization’s Advisory Council who will provide the Board of Directors strategic council and advice: Mary LoJacono, Towers Watson; Debra Silimeo, Hager Sharp; and, Lauren Lawson-Zilai, Goodwill Industries International.
The board induction meeting featured a keynote from Lynn Bufka, Ph.D., associate executive director for the American Psychological Association’s Practice Research and Policy Department about their “Stress in America Survey.” She spoke about stress and what can trigger it: money, work and health. Dr. Bufka also shared guidance for managing stress, such as identifying it in our lives, understanding triggers and seeking support.
