Education is transformative and the first crucial step in breaking the cycle of poverty. Children of low-literacy adults are five times more likely to drop out of school. That’s why Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) is pleased to announce Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School as its 2020-2021 pro bono client.

Academy of Hope

The Academy of Hope (AoH) offers tailored educational services for adults who, due to low-literacy and insufficient basic skills, are not able to find or retain living-wage employment. Many of Academy of Hope’s adult learners—roughly 60% of whom are women—are parents or guardians of school-age children.

WWPR will help to strengthen the Academy’s outreach and enhance its visibility among potential partners over the next two years, as well as support their 35th anniversary celebration throughout 2020.
