Yes& Wins Best of Show at 2021 AAF DC American Advertising Awards

The 2021 AAF DC American Advertising Awards Show, March 18, honored the work of advertising professionals in the Washington metro area. The Best of Show Award went to Yes& Agency for a campaign for Akima.  The award-winning campaign showcased how the strong values, lifestyle and culture that have kept the Iñupiat shareholders thriving in one of the harshest environments on Earth also guide Akima to bring world-class solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence community and civilian organizations in 43 states and 16 countries and territories. The animated video, which is narrated by an Iñupiaq elder who explores Akima’s heritage and what the future holds for the company and the Iñupiat, is visualized in an ethereal animation style inspired by traditional Iñupiaq art.

The MOASIC Award, given to promote diversity in advertising went to Beautiful Destinations for United Stories Microsite done for Brand USA. Best of Print went to RP3 Agency for Well & Good: The Inaugural Issue done for RP3 Agency. And, a Very Special Judges Award went to Beautiful Destinations for Discover Wyoming in Winter done for Brand USA.

The virtual award event brought together more than 200 advertising professionals representing artists, creatives, copywriters, designers, marketers, and strategists in the D.C. area.
