Annie Yu, news anchor at WUSA-TV in D.C., announced in early February 2023 that she was taking time off to deal with a health issue. On April 30, she posted the following on Facebook: “3 months ago, I went through the most difficult time in my life. It involved major surgery following not so great news about my health. 
Thankfully, the worst is behind me and I got the care and treatment I needed. I feel extremely grateful for how things worked out. 
But during that time, especially after my surgery, I felt a burst of emotions and extreme physical fatigue. It was hard for me to see the “light,” and in that period of time, I didn’t see myself getting back to working out anytime soon (which I need for mental clarity)…
