Hunt Valley-based imre hired Joe Keenan as executive director of LGBTQ and entertainment, a newly created role, according to a report by PR WEEK. Keenan will be responsible for the growth of the firm’s LGBTQ and entertainment practices and integrating LGBTQ and entertainment work with the agency’s other offerings. He reports to Christine Pierpoint, SVP of financial services. Keenan will be based in the Los Angeles office, which has about six staffers, according to the report.
Dave Imre, CEO and founder of the firm, told PR WEEK that Keenan had been working as a consultant for about a year before joining full time. The agency works with Toyota and asset management firm T. Rowe Price, among others, on LGBTQ marketing.
Most recently, Keenan was president of New Avenue Marketing, an LGBT marketing agency in Los Angeles. Prior to that role, he was a VP in MWW’s LGBT practice. Imre, a certified LGBTQ-owned company, has offices in Baltimore, New York, and Los Angeles.
Garret Ohm joins CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield as Senior Advertising & Brand Specialist. He was previously director of marketing at Exit10.
Lisa Bucklin is now Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. She was previously Director of Marketing at Father Martin’s Ashley.
Katie Roberts has been named Director, Digital Marketing & Content Strategy at iJET International in Annapolis. She previously worked for Crosby Marketing as senior social media strategist and at Lauerate International Universities as senior social media strategist.
Baltimore-based Kapowza engaged with Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate, the No. 1 Real Estate Team in the Nation and Maryland (as ranked by REAL Trends 2017 and The Wall Street Journal), to produce a series of three commercials. Kapowza successfully completed two of the three commercials, and will be filming the third commercial later this fall at the new Howard County Headquarters of Creig Northrop Team in Clarksville, Md. The two completed commercials debuted on HGTV, BRAVO, ESPN, WBAL-TV and WJZ-TV, and will continue to air throughout the fall.
