Three members of Gambrills-based Chaney Enterprises were honored when their B-to-B communications and outreach efforts to introduce a product called roller compacted concrete earned them a Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association “Heavy Hitter” award. Each year at its annual meeting in Baltimore, MRMCA recognizes members for promotional contributions and accomplishments that go above and beyond in helping to advance the use of sustainable concrete. Winners receive concrete baseball bats.
Members of the Chaney team are Marketing Manager Steven Tripp, Technical Services Manager Ron Terrelonge and Tom Harris, a sales representative covering Charles and St. Mary’s counties. A fourth winner, Henry Prenger of Lafarge North America, was also recognized.
Chaney President & CEO William F. Childs, IV said the combined efforts of these three employees helped the company make great strides in bringing more roller compacted concrete (RCC) to Maryland area projects.
MRMCA is a trade association representing ready-mix concrete suppliers and contractors across Maryland promoting the use of concrete as a preferred material for pavements and structures.
