To further expand the strategic leadership of its growing Government and Healthcare practices, Crosby Marketing Communications added Anna Zawislanski as an executive vice president and senior strategist.
Zawislanski has a 15+ year history of leading public health and safety communications programs for government agencies and healthcare organizations, including the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Prior to joining Crosby, she served as senior vice president and director of public health at Ogilvy Washington, culminating a nine-year stint at the firm. Prior to that, she was an account director in the health program at the American Institutes for Research. Campaigns she led addressed some of the nation’s most pressing issues – including cancer, stroke, kidney disease, obesity, pandemic flu and mental health.
At Crosby, Zawislanski will provide strategic counsel for various clients, including two of the firm’s largest federal contracts: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Materials Development and Marketing Support, and HRSA’s Public and Professional Education Outreach for Organ Donation.
“Anna has a great track record in leading national health communications and social marketing programs, and specifically in translating and disseminating evidence-based disease prevention and health promotion messages that help drive improved health outcomes.” said Crosby President and CEO Raymond Crosby. “Her expertise will further bolster our stronghold in the public health and commercial health care sectors.”
Zawislanski received a Master of Public Health degree from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
