D.C.-Area Updates: University of Maryland Needs Your Vote, Karen Addis Opens Agency and Deltek Adds ConceptShare
The University of Maryland, College Park, has been nominated for 2018 Best of Unique Venues Awards in two categories – Best Venue for Youth/Sports Camps and Best High-Tech Venue – and we were told they need votes in order to win. But, you must vote by June 29. More here.
Veteran public relations executive Karen Addis, APR, launched Addis Communications, a full-service national strategic communications agency that partners with corporations, associations and nonprofits to address their business goals, challenges, and needs through the power of communications. “After a long and successful career of working for many terrific organizations — the past 12 of those years with various global and boutique PR agencies — I wanted to build something that uniquely represented me,” said Addis, president & CEO.
Deltek, a Herndon, VA-based company that provides enterprise software solutions, acquired ConceptShare, a Canadian company that streamlines the online review of marketing and advertising work. Based in Ottawa, ConceptShare provides businesses a streamlined way to proof, review and approve advertising.
