Davis Promoted to Managing Partner at Baltimore PR firm Van Eperen to Support Continued Growth of Firm

by | Oct 9, 2017

Van Eperen announced the promotion of Managing Director Jeffrey Davis, previously head of the top Baltimore PR firm’s Inner Harbor office, to Managing Partner. In his new role, Davis will oversee operations in Baltimore as well as North Bethesda along with president and CEO Laura Van Eperen.

Since Van Eperen acquired Davis’s Baltimore public relations and social media consultancy in 2016, the integrated communications firm has increased its revenues and added key clients in the transportation, higher education and Federal government categories, complementing the firm’s health and science practice.

“Jeff is an amazing pro who has added tremendous value, credibility and visibility to our brand,” said Laura Van Eperen. “He has played an important role in key decisions as we continue toward our vision of becoming one of the leading strategic communications firms in the region and U.S.”

Davis is based at the strategic communications firm’s Inner Harbor offices, opened earlier in 2017.

Davis began his career as a reporter at daily newspapers in Ohio, New Jersey and Maryland before shifting to PR where he worked for some of the top communications and marketing firms in Baltimore and Annapolis. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, he is active nationally with the Public Relations Society of America and was a three-time president of the PRSA Maryland chapter. He has been a member of the National Press Club for more than 25 years and serves as Baltimore editor for the Capitol Communicator.

Van Eperen, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, is an award-winning integrated communications agency serving regional, national and international clients in the public and private sectors and membership associations in higher education, economic development/real estate, and health/science, and transportation sectors. Founded in 2004, the Maryland PR firm is a certified minority business enterprise (MBE) / disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE). Led and staffed by former journalists, the agency blends PR, digital, social and creative strategies to drive meaningful results.
