Frances Reimers announced the formation of a new, Alexandria-based consultancy to be known as Firestarter. Firestarter will offer one-on-one consulting, training sessions, and retainer-based ongoing counsel to help individuals and small businesses better leverage their personal brand through social and earned media.
“In today’s world, your personal brand is your most valuable asset,” commented Reimers. “Without proper management, individuals and businesses are potentially letting opportunities pass them by. I want to take what I’ve learned over the past 15 years and use it to help entrepreneurs, athletes, celebrities, and small business start-ups manage their reputations, build their online presence, and ultimately broaden their reach.”
Firestarter’s minority partner is Reimers’ previous employer Alexandria-based integrated marketing firm PCI. “Frances has been on to something,” commented Robert W. Sprague, PCI President & CEO. “I think she will do exceptionally well as a freestanding provider, and we’re glad to be part of it. I’m sure PCI and Firestarter will be doing joint projects for some time to come.”
Prior to launching Firestarter, Reimers was the Director of Corporate Visibility for PCI, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, where she led business and client development. She oversaw projects for clients such as the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, Washington Nationals, and the Department of Transportation.
Reimers serves on the Advisory Boards for the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind and the National Foundation to End Senior Hunger (NFESH). Frances is a 2016 recipient of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 award.
