GovExec, the market-leading sales and marketing intelligence company for government leaders and contractors, announced today that it will consolidate Government Marketing University (GMarkU) and its annual GAIN Conference, the premier government marketing conference, into GovExec 360. This will enable Government Marketing University and GAIN to have the full support of the GovExec 360 events team and a more cohesive events strategy. GAIN and GMarkU will remain standalone brands, and GovExec will continue to engage the loyal community with GAIN and select GMarkU programs.
As a result, Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of Government Marketing University, Stephanie Geiger, will be departing to pursue new opportunities. Moving forward, Founder Lou Anne Brossman, who has remained involved as an advisor, will lead the future direction of GAIN and establish a new Program Advisory Committee of leaders across the public sector who will direct content and voices for the 2023 GAIN conference. This community-led approach will ensure that the conference is meeting the needs of its attendees with relevant topics and innovative initiatives that address the challenges for the public sector today and on the horizon. In addition, the community will be engaged to provide feedback on the existing GMarkU programs that best support their professional development.
“We appreciate all of Stephanie’s leadership during the acquisition and integration,” said Tim Hartman, CEO of GovExec. “GovExec values the members of the GMarkU and GAIN community and want to make sure we are providing them with the education, networking, and tools they need to grow and learn from each other. Lou Anne brings her expertise as the Founder of GMarkU and her extensive government industry knowledge to this newly visioned organization. I am excited to see how she builds the Program Advisory Committee to deliver GAIN 2023 while reinforcing its promise as the place for relevant knowledge, collaboration, and innovation within our community.”
This new phase of growth for GMarkU will build on its foundation and broaden its reach as a community-powered resource that helps public sector marketers and business development leaders expand their expertise. Throughout the year, GMarkU provides a platform for professional development, ideation, content creation, and mentorship to its loyal community.
