Hybrid work success leads to Response Labs opening four new offices

by | Dec 21, 2022

Response Labs, the Digital CRM & Loyalty Marketing Agency, experienced steady growth over the past 18 months. 2022 was highlighted by the opening of a new headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by the three satellite offices in Arlington, Virginia, Seattle, Washington, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The agency’s executive leadership credits part of the success to its hybrid work policies. While Response Labs had mastered the art of virtual and remote operations even before the pandemic, they recognized the importance of dedicated office space for culture, collaborative innovation, and producing exceptional results. Plus, establishing a physical presence in major metropolitan regions has improved business opportunities and access to top talent.

Response Labs began the first quarter of 2022 by unveiling a new headquarters in the historic Natty Boh Tower located in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore. The space’s open floor plan is designed to inspire innovation and creativity through in-person collaboration, something that was challenging over the past couple of years. The new space became a catalyst for the agency’s growth and expansion.

“We set out to design an office that’s a place where you’d like to go. Not just somewhere to work, but a comfortable and inviting environment. We were very thoughtful about creating an open, bullpen-style space as well as providing a number of private meeting and conference rooms. It works great. People love being here!” Jen Aldinger, Partner and Director of Client Service

Aldinger, a fervent advocate of culture at Response Labs, helped lead the design and planning efforts to ensure the new headquarters was not just conducive to work but stylish and welcoming for team members, clients, partners, and anyone else who comes to the space.

Response Labs’ employees applauded the move and launched the new office with great fanfare. The new space even gained acclaim in the Baltimore Business Journal’s “Cool Digs!” section. The most significant dividends were realized as the team began a hybrid schedule, three days in the office and two days at home. Renewed in-person collaboration elevated the work product and increased interpersonal engagement as well.

“When we’re working on complex problems for our clients, it’s tough to beat in-person brainstorming and the spirited discussions that ensue. Zoom is okay for collaboration across multiple locations, but when you can meet in person, the output is much richer.” Andy Locke, Partner and Director of Strategy and Data

Seeing the immediate benefits of in-person work, Response Labs partnered with leading international co-working real estate firm, Industrious, to find office space in strategically significant regions of the country. With the goal of delivering a better work experience, literally meeting team members where they are, the agency opened space in Arlington, Virginia, Seattle, Washington, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. These satellite offices also allow team members to benefit from the company’s hybrid work policy and take advantage of top-shelf amenities including award-winning design, full kitchens, workout centers, rooftop decks, and more.

The Arlington office is the base of operations for Response Labs’ media team and positions the agency ideally for government sales with Washington, D.C. nearby. On the West Coast, the Seattle office is home to the Technology and Production division of Response Labs. Not only does this office give the agency a bicoastal footprint but the Seattle region offers access to a wealth of tech talent. Our Minneapolis office provides a workspace for Response Labs’ Salesforce solutions architecture team members. Not only do the new offices provide thoughtfully-designed space for working in person but they also present opportunities for team members to visit and collaborate in other cities.
Response Labs will continue opening new offices with the addition of new Team members and clients in 2023.
