Baltimore-based idfive, LLC, is among the fastest-growing private companies in Baltimore, according to a list compiled by the Baltimore Business Journal.
idfive ranked 12th on the “Fast 50” list, earning its spot for rapid growth in both revenue and client base, doubling from $3 million to $6 million in revenue from 2013 to 2014.
“When we started, we wanted to create a digital agency that was going to use its marketing and communication powers for good instead of just selling them to the highest bidder. We wanted to feel good about who we were helping,” said Andres Zapata, left, EVP of strategy and co-founder of idfive, a Capitol Communicator sponsor. “The idea that we’re being successful in that goal is reward alone.”
Other Baltimore-area communications firms on the list include Groove ($2.4 million in 2013; $5 million in 2014); Jellyfish ($4.2 million to $8.2 million); Fastspot ($1.93 million to $2.81 million); and Jigsaw Marketing Solutions ($94,872 to $199,094).
The BBJ ranked the firms by percent change in revenue from 2013 to 2014. More than 1,500 surveys were distributed and 342 responded.
