Breeanna Straessle, former director, corporate communications, Cision, has been named to PRWeek’s list of “40 Under 40” for 2015.
According to PRWeek, when last year’s Vocus-Cision merger generated headlines across international media, she “was at the center of the media storm. And then as the company went on an acquisition spree, snapping up Gorkana, Visible Technologies, and Viralheat, she was in the spotlight again.
“As corporate comms director for Cision, Straessle oversees a team of seven PR, design, social media, and copywriting professionals. Along with executing media strategy, she leads influencer and analyst relations, social media and content marketing, and much of the brand and creative work, including native advertising.
“Before the merger, Straessle led Vocus’ communications and social media teams. She increased media coverage of its annual conference by 623% and social media buzz by 157%.”
Straessle told Capitol Communicator that being included in the “40 Under 40” list was a “tremendous honor.” She is currently corporate communications manager at Cracker Barrel in Nashville.
