In the Spotlight: Kevin Alansky, Lon Anderson, Angela Drinkwater and Bridget Dean

by | Jul 29, 2015

CircleBack, a Vienna, VA-based company “aimed at keeping user contacts up-to-date using artificial intelligence and machine learning, announced this morning that it has brought on Kevin Alansky as its Chief Marketing Officer. The news comes as a surprise, as Alansky is also the cofounder and (now) former CMO of Washington, D.C.-based SocialRadar, the Michael Chasen-led company whose tech utilizes geo-location data from social networks to provide real-time information on people nearby,” reports Tech.co.

Lon Anderson is retiring. “As director of public and governmental relations for AAA Mid-Atlantic, Anderson has been the Washington region’s most visible and influential motorist advocate, verbally flogging area governments to crack down on unsafe drivers, fix dangerous roads and ease some of the worst gridlock in the nation. His weapon: catchy, go-for-the-throat sound bites that the media — and lawmakers — simply can’t ignore,” reports The Washington Post.

Smart Connections PR in Rising Sun, MD, added Angela Drinkwater and Bridget Dean as account executives. Drinkwater, who has over 25 years of experience in PR and began her career at Edelman, will work with clients to develop and implement media relations programs and campaigns that align with corporate goals, and spearhead client social media programs. Dean has over 15 years of experience in non-profit, government, and business and technology public relations. She began her career as a radio journalist and went on to work as a public relations specialist for the City of Alexandria, VA.
