Washington Women in Public Relations announced that Kelly Parisi, head of communications and marketing at LeanIn.org, will be the keynote speaker for its 26th annual Washington PR Woman of the Year Award Luncheon on Nov. 13 at the Fairmont. The Woman of the Year luncheon, established in 1990, is WWPR’s signature event and celebrates the accomplishments of women who are raising the bar in public relations.
Prior to joining Lean In, Parisi was the VP/communications for Girl Scouts of the USA where she oversaw the organization’s internal, external and sensitive issue communications and was the mastermind behind the “Ban Bossy” campaign. She is an alumna of The George Washington University where she received a BA in Communications.
Career Contessa did a feature on Parisi when she was with the Girl Scouts of the USA which you can view here (and the photo above is from that feature).
