Maryland Updates: News from Kimpton Hotels; Weber Shandwick; EASi and Merkle

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced that Jennifer Lewis has joined the executive team at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor as director of sales and marketing. Lewis was most recently the area director of sales and marketing for Hilton Hotels, overseeing two hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Weber Shandwick announced that Kaitlyn McCoach and Rachel Pelzer have joined the Baltimore office. Pelzer joined as senior account executive from McClung-Logan Equipment Company in Baltimore where she was marketing manager. McCoach, hired as an account executive, previously worked at Renegade Communications in Hunt Valley.

Hanover-based engineering services firm EASi unveiled updated branding that, according to a release, “strengthens and clarifies its messaging” with a new logo, tagline and website. The new tagline is “Amazing Begins Here.”

Columbia-based Merkle announced that it has been selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) as agency of record to launch the organization’s direct response strategy. According to a release, Merkle’s agency-of-record engagement with BGCA entails managing the direct marketing program, which includes direct mail, campaign strategy, creative design, program management, data processing, print production, execution and analytics. BGCA will complement its direct marketing engagement with Merkle by adding a digital fundraising program that includes email, search, paid social and digital display services.
