The recent wave of exits in the communications industry following the pandemic has resulted in a number of announcements of new hires across Maryland. Recent moves include:
Liquified Creative has announced another addition to its staff, Arin DeLoatch, who joins the Annapolis agency as junior web developer. Originally from Washington, D.C., DeLoatch, in main photo, holds a degree in computer science from Lincoln University. He joins other recent hires at Liquified, including Marketing Manager Tyler Lewis, as the agency continue to expand in the wake of new business, according to founding partner and creative director Shawn Noratel. R2integrated, an award-winning digital experience agency based in Baltimore, announced the appointment of Tom Hayden and Matt Ozsvath as vice presidents of business development. They will each support new client growth and expansion across the U.S. “2021 will be a year of immense growth and evolution as we continue to lead organizations in their pivot to digital transformation by achieving each organization’s objectives. It’s time to deliver experiences that are targeted, predictive, and responsive,” said Chief Commercial Officer Chris Hessler of R2i.
ADG in Columbia announces a new member of the creative team, Joe Nagy, who joins as senior strategist. ADG reports that Nagy has extensive “behind the lines” government experience. At ADG he will support federal strategic communications as well as select commercial clients. His experience includes 15 years with the National Security Agency, most recently as communications specialist.
imre announces the addition of Jennifer Kurowski as senior vice president of creative. Kurowski joins imre with more than 21 years of experience, most recently capping 10 years at Digitas Health serving as senior vice president and group creative director.

Warschawski in Mount Washington announced the addition of Ryan Spadaro as a junior associate. In his role, Spadaro will coordinate and execute strategic communications campaigns, including PR, social media, digital marketing and assist with day-to-day account activities. Before joining Warschawski, he handled social media and content development for The Erin Levitas Foundation, a non-profit based in Baltimore.
Compass Advocacy announced that Addison Pruitt, former chief of staff to Maryland Del. Darryl Barnes (D-Prince George’s), is joining the Annapolis lobbying firm as director of government and public relations. He will work as a lobbyist for Compass’ government relations arm, and also with clients of Compass’ growing communications office, Compass Public Relations & Consulting Partners.
Pruitt has an extensive background in communications and marketing, and most recently worked in the communications office of the U.S. Architect of the Capitol. Hannah Powers Garagiola, Compass president and founder, lauded Pruitt’s “savvy understanding of Annapolis and how adept he is at the legislative process,” in a statement.
