Beth Nelan joined Split as community manager. Split, is an app-based on-demand car service that just launched in D.C., its initial market. Split claims to be more affordable than other on-demand options, and more convenient and personalized than public transit. Nelan had been senior marketing associate at Carousel 30.
D.C.’s Delucchi Plus added Jay Vilar as vice president. In this role, Vilar will drive marketing and new business efforts, develop industry relationships, and produce thought leadership for the agency. Vilar brings relationships and expertise in financial services, tourism, hospitality, LGBT and nonprofit advocacy from previous positions with Time Inc. (MNI), Washington Business Journal, Washington Convention Center, and The Human Rights Campaign; as well as his own marketing consulting business.
ADG Creative added four to its 65+ member workforce. They are:
– Sarah Nelson-Balonis, art director
Nelson-Balonis joined ADG’s Commercial design team with a background in exhibit and experience design. She will serve as the lead designer for print and interactive for many of ADG’s commercial clients.
– Kelley Smith, project control analyst
Smith comes to ADG with years of experience as a financial analyst for both large and small organizations. She will focus primarily on ADG’s federal contracts to ensure all financial and programmatic requirements are met.
– Mike McGahey, CFO
McGahey brings over 20 years of experience as a chief financial officer to ADG; with extensive experience in both the federal and commercial sectors, as well as serving as partner at tax and consulting services firm McGladrey.
– Scott Margolis, art director
Margolis joined ADG’s design team with over 20 years experience in advertising and design. His past client work includes Corning, Jeep, Maryland Lottery and Dell.
