Listen up! Missing Link, a podcast media company, launched Between Acts, an immersive audio podcast theatre experience. Each biweekly episode sets the stage for your imagination to freely venture through the works of newfound playwrights—from dramas to comedies and everything in-between  Between Acts launched with the release of two episodes; subsequent episodes will be released on a bi-weekly basis. In partnership with The Little Theatre of Alexandria, Between Acts is produced by Missing Link’s creative team of well-seasoned professionals and performed by an ever-evolving ensemble of actors. The podcast will be available free on a multitude of podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

As part of the launch of this first-of-its-kind podcast, Missing Link will host two live theatre events, Between Acts LIVE, where attendees join the cast and crew to go behind the scenes of the making of two podcast episodes. The event will be held Tuesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 22, at 8 p.m. at the Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA), 600 Wolfe Street, Alexandria, Va. The same episodes will be performed each night to accommodate the greatest number of audience members with socially distanced seating within the sanitized LTA auditorium. These live-studio audience productions are part of LTA’s fall series “Small Theatre for Unusual Times.”

“Creating this innovative theatre experience has been very exciting.” says Louise Salas, co-founder of Missing Link. “We think listeners are going to fall in love the remarkable performances we’ve got on tap. I am truly proud of our team.” Hal Schild, co-producer of Between Acts, adds, “I love being a part of this project. It’s so rewarding to see all the elements come together—actors, music, sound effects, editing—and to give emerging playwrights a platform for their work.”

Based in Alexandria, Missing Link is dedicated to connecting people to intelligent, engaging, and informative content that promises to entertain and inspire. Also in the Missing Link line-up of podcasts is Rodger That—a podcast that educates and supports caregivers of individuals with dementia—and the Designated Drinker Show—a high-spirited show where listeners meet interesting folks, enjoy boozy banter, and learn how to craft cocktails from a master.
