Gadi Dechter, former senior advisor at the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council under President Obama, joined APCO Worldwide as head of its public Affairs Practice. He will be based in Washington, D.C. Before joining the White House in 2013, Dechter was managing director of economic policy at the Center for American Progress. He began his career as a staff writer for Baltimore’s City Paper, later reporting for the Baltimore Sun and Bloomberg News. He also has taught public policy communications at George Washington University and Georgetown University.
Fenton added Ryan Cunningham as senior vice presidents in its D.C. office. Cunningham, stated a release, has led global and domestic campaigns on renewable electricity, national and state energy policy, energy efficiency, sustainable building, energy finance, advanced transportation technologies, wholesale electric market competition, and reducing CO2 emissions. Ryan comes to Fenton after launching Cunningham Strategic Communications in 2013, where he worked with the US Green Building Council, Ceres, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, Wind Energy Foundation, Climate Nexus and the Electric Drive Transportation Association. Ryan previously co-created and built the Energy & Sustainability practice at The Glover Park Group in D.C.
Anastasia Khoo has been promoted to chief marketing officer at Human Rights Campaign. She has spent the past nine years at the Human Rights Campaign as director of marketing. Before that, she spent six years at Greenpeace.
