The annual Litmus Email Excellence Awards took place this past fall. These awards celebrate exceptional email campaign design and work featured in numerous categories. This year, Response Labs submitted the first issue of our “From the Lab!” Newsletter from September in the “Best Email Design (B2B)” category. Submissions were judged by a panel of internal and external judges, which narrowed the competition to four finalists per category. Next, the finalists were featured in Litmus Weekly, and the opportunity to win depended on the email community votes.
This first iteration of our newsletter redesign was a great display of how we make our messages matter (our motto!). Our team built a fun, informative, and well-crafted newsletter. Using gifs in article images and buttons, incorporating a vibrant and engaging color combination throughout the layout, easy-to-read fonts, and engaging calls to action made this newsletter a strong submission. Here is the submission.
Litmus received over 100 submissions this year, making it extremely difficult to choose just one winner for each category, according to Litmus. It was an honor to be nominated, and this email was our first (hopefully of many) Litmus award nomination. Both judges and Litmus Weekly newsletter subscribers cast votes. Although we didn’t take home the gold this year, we will continue to strive for excellence in all the email marketing we work on for our clients at Response Labs! We’re hungry, driven, and ready to win it next year. It was great to compete against all the best email submissions – see them here!
