Sage Communications named Ron Lichtinger, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in advertising and publishing, as vice president of business development. In his new role, he will work to further the company’s vision for growth in government and commercial markets.
According to a release, Lichtinger brings more than 20 years of media, marketing and advertising experience, most recently with FierceMarkets where he served as group publisher of the Enterprise IT and Government business units. At Fierce, he managed and launched several email newsletters including FierceGovernmentIT, FierceCIO and FierceBigData, among many others.

He began his career as a media planner/buyer with Stackig Advertising, working with customers in the aerospace/defense and government technology sectors. Subsequently, he held advertising sales and management positions with Jane’s Defence Weekly, Aviation Week, Investor’s Business Daily and Government Computer News. Ron holds a BA in advertising from the Penn State University and an MBA from George Washington University. He currently lives in Point of Rocks, MD, where he enjoys hiking, kayaking, bicycling and all things outdoorsy with his wife and son.
