Sage Communications, the leading technology, B2G, and nonprofit communications firm in Greater Washington D.C., won PR News’ 2016 Agency Elite Award for Community Relations. Sage was awarded for its integrated work with Leadership Greater Washington (LGW).
Additionally, Sage was also honored by PR News as Runner-Up for the Nonprofit/Association Agency Elite Award, based on its work with social impact, arts and science nonprofit S&R Foundation.
These recognitions come only thirty days after Sage, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, won an International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) Pinnacle Award for Best Vendor/Supplier for its work with the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
Sage’s Co-Founder, COO and Executive Creative Director David Gorodetski stated, “Leadership Greater Washington represents the remarkable forward trajectory of the District as a whole. D.C. is in the midst of an incredible business and cultural renaissance, and to brand a key organization that is leading this charge is an incredible honor.”
Sage’s Director of Nonprofit Marketing Scott Greenberg added, “We are grateful to have clients like LGW who confidently allow us the creative freedom to be their brand rock stars.”
Sage’s relationship with LGW began with a market and strategic analysis to determine communications opportunities for LGW. Sage developed LGW’s strategic communications plan, and conducted an overhaul of brand messaging and a new logo. Since then, Sage has been involved in every element of LGW’s communications, including public relations, social media, website creation, graphic design, digital strategy, and advertising efforts. These communications tools have given LGW an outward-facing messaging infrastructure to help successfully execute its organizational objectives.
