Spurrier Media Group promoted Ingrid Vax to president and director of business development for the agency, and founder Donna Spurrier has moved up to CEO and executive media strategist.

Vax has more than 25 years of experience in advertising and marketing, gained on both the agency and client sides of the business.   Her experience includes Chevy Chase Bank (now Capital One), Sallie Mae and Volvo, among others.  She joined Spurrier Media Group in 2012.

Vax works in the agency’s Washington area and Richmond, Va. offices.  She also serves on the boards of the American Marketing Association-DC Chapter and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Chapter.

Spurrier founded her agency in 1996, and has grown it into one of the leading media and research firms in both Washington and Richmond.  The agency was recently named the seventh-largest advertising agency in the Washington region, and it is listed among the top agencies in Richmond.

“I am thrilled to promote Ingrid to president of our firm.  She has helped grow the agency and paved the way for tremendous new opportunities with existing and new clients in multiple sectors.  In fact, we just won two very large accounts that she was actively involved with.  I look forward to working side-by-side with Ingrid to continue the agency’s growth for a long time to come,” said Spurrier.

“Many of our national clients and agency partners are based in the Washington metropolitan area.  They value the unique insights and expertise that Spurrier Media Group brings to the table and they know we can deliver on their need for measurable ROI of their marketing dollars.  Having a strong executive presence in Washington makes strategic sense.  I am truly honored that Donna bestowed this responsibility on me,” said Vax.
