Storyfarm, the Baltimore-based production agency specializing in online marketing videos and television commercials and a Capitol Communicator sponsor, named James Maravetz its creative director.
Maravetz will be responsible for leading the company’s creative efforts in all aspects of video production. According to a release, Storyfarm will also look to Maravetz to elevate the firm’s conceptual content, and to expand clientele regionally and nationally.
“We considered more than 250 people from all over the country, and James’ extraordinary talent set him apart,” said John Sherman, Storyfarm’s chief executive officer.
With nearly a decade of agency experience in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, Maravetz has led a number of creative departments in the development of advertising campaigns for brands such as Miller Lite, Under Armour, Xerox, LG, Vitamin Water and MetLife.
Prior to joining Storyfarm, the Howard County native worked as a freelance copywriter and creative director for a number of ad agencies nationwide, including Droga5, J. Walter Thompson, Martin Agency, Captain Worldwide and Mekanism. Maravetz also served as the creative director for both Saatchi & Saatchi NY and Crispin Porter & Bogusky in Miami, and as associate creative director at Young & Rubicam in New York.
