In 2010, when Storyfarm, a video production firm based in Baltimore, was just launched by John Sherman, Adam Rosenberg of Baltimore Child Abuse Center was one of the firm’s first clients. Five years later, Sherman has the honor of sitting on BCAC’s Board of Directors. As a part of their on-going partnership with BCAC, Storyfarm created and donated three videos that were shown at BCAC’s Be A Hero Gala (#bmorehero2015) last Thursday night. “Headlined by Robin Quivers‘s incredibly personal keynote, it was a night we’ll not soon forget,” said Sherman, who added, “I have not been as proud of a project as I am of this in years.”
Before starting Storyfarm, Sherman (fourth from left in photo) was a broadcast television journalist at WVIR-TV, WTVD-TV and WBAL-TV. According to his bio, he has been honored with “every major national television award including the Peabody Awards Best of Baltimore. Baltimore Magazine awarded John 2005 Baltimorean of the Year and 2007 Best of Baltimore. And he was also selected as one of 2013’s “40 Under 40″ from the Baltimore Business Journal.”
Rosenberg, states his bio, is one this nation’s leading experts on child advocacy centers, mandatory reporting of abuse, and in finding innovative solutions to help children who have been victims of abuse and maltreatment. He has testified numerous times at all levels of government – city hall, county council, Annapolis, and Washington DC – to advocate for protections for children and for assistance for those who tirelessly work to help them.
