Susan Ann Davis, Chairman of D.C.-based Susan Davis International (SDI), has been awarded the Gold Stevie Award for Lifetime Achievement in Business and the Bronze Stevie Award for Woman of the Year in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations. According to a release, the Stevie Awards “have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. Susan Davis, a pioneering woman business owner, is internationally known for her expertise in strategic positioning, government relations and crisis communications. Davis has personally represented more than a dozen countries on issues ranging from economic crisis to nation building and trade expansion. She regularly develops engagement and business opportunities for thought leaders, investors and entrepreneurs around the world Davis opened her own agency in 1975 when relatively few women owned a business. During the past four decades, she has grown SDI into a global public affairs and strategic communications powerhouse that provides counsel worldwide to heads of governments, NGOs and industry.

“She is the Board Chair for Razia’s Ray of Hope Foundation, which supports the education of 600 girls in rural Afghanistan and is Board Chair Emeritus of Vital Voices Global Partnership, the preeminent NGO that has empowered 15,000 emerging women leaders in 144 countries.
