“Take It Away” Video Takes On Redskins to Change Their Name

by | Jan 25, 2015

The National Congress of American Indians and the Oneida Indian Nation have launched a new online ad to get the Redskins to change the team name.  The takeaway message from the “Take It Away” video is that without the Redskins logo, the team is still Washington’s football team.

According to The Washington Post, the same groups teamed up on an ad called “Proud to Be” before last year’s Super Bowl that was viewed more than three million views on YouTube.  Both the new spot and the 2014 spot were produced by the Goodness MFG agency.

“The campaign is paying to promote the spot on Facebook and is also considering placing it on moving screens in the District or in local cabs,” continued to Post’s piece.
