The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), based in Washington, D.C., launched a national bilingual BUILT WITH CHOCOLATE MILK TV and digital campaign featuring professional basketball All-Star Al Horford of the Boston Celtics.
According to Wikipedia, Horford is a five-time NBA All-Star who also represents the Dominican Republic national team.
“Al has a unique story centered on making important nutrition choices, including chocolate milk as his recovery beverage, which we are thrilled to highlight as the cornerstone of the 2019 BUILT WITH CHOCOLATE MILK campaign,” said Miranda Abney, Senior Marketing Director at the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP). “He is committed to what really matters to him – overall balance, his performance on the court and spending time with his family off of it. We are proud to welcome Al to our team.”
Horford joins a roster of elite athletes who choose chocolate milk as their post-workout drink of choice, including tennis star Sloane Stephens, three-time Triathlon World Champion Mirinda Carfrae and professional racing cyclist Alison Tetrick.
The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) is funded by the nation’s milk processors, who are committed to increasing fluid milk consumption. The National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board, through MilkPEP, runs the BUILT WITH CHOCOLATE MILK Campaign, a multi-faceted program designed to educate athletes and exercisers about the recovery benefits of real lowfat chocolate milk after strenuous exercise.
