Van Eperen Acquires Baltimore PR Firm J. Davis Public Relations

by | Sep 20, 2016

Van Eperen acquired top Baltimore PR firm J. Davis Public Relations, LLC (JD/PR), a Baltimore public relations consultancy founded in 2005 by Jeffrey Davis, APR, serving clients in Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington, D.C. Van Eperen’s acquisition further expands its footprint in Maryland, while at the same time the firm continues growing its roster of national and international clients. Davis will serve as Managing Director-Baltimore.

“Our agency continues to grow,” says CEO Laura Van Eperen. “We’ve always had a strong presence in Montgomery County and, more recently, in D.C. and Virginia. So when we were looking to expand, it made sense to deepen our reach in Maryland, where we have a strong track record of delivering results for our clients, and JD/PR was the right fit.

“Jeff, who is a former journalist, is a well-known public relations and social media professional,” continued Van Eperen. “In addition to working for Baltimore and Annapolis advertising and marketing agencies, he is past president of the Maryland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and regional editor of the Capitol Communicator.”

Said Davis, “What attracted me to Van Eperen is its journalism-based strategic approach to PR and content development and its strong senior leadership team. I look forward to helping the agency continue with its plans for growth in Maryland, the Mid-Atlantic and nationally.”

Based in North Bethesda, the Maryland PR firm Van Eperen, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, serves clients in health and science, its largest practice, as well as businesses in the transportation, education, financial services, home and building and technology sectors. Van Eperen is a woman-owned certified WBE MBE public relations firm in Maryland.
