MediaDC CEO Lou Ann Sabatier introduced Washington Examiner’s new editorial director, Hugo Gurdon, to approximately 75 advertisers and potential advertisers at a private reception at Morton’s Steakhouse on Sept. 10. Gurdon outlined his plans for expanding Washington Examiner’s coverage of policy issues. He said he will be adding reporters and concentrating on coverage of breaking news, as well as increasing coverage in five policy areas: defense and national security, energy and environment, healthcare, technology, and money.
Gurdon is credited with transforming The Hill, where he served as editor-in-chief since 2003. Gurdon also has worked for, among others, The Daily Telegraph of London and the National Post of Canada.
Washington Examiner reaches an average of 4.5 million readers monthly online, and 40,000 weekly in print.
