Rob Whittle, CEO of Williams Whittle, was awarded Best Columnist for a weekly newspaper from the Society of Professional Journalists at a dinner at the National Press Club. Whittle writes an every-other-month column for the Alexandria Times.
“I started out in advertising as a copywriter and have always loved that side of creativity. The Times lets me write on whatever topic I like,” Whittle said.
His columns have ranged from cooking to golf to dogs to Ben Franklin, one of his heroes, whom he calls “a dude”.
Whittle is also the author of two historical novels—”Pointer’s War” and “Pointer and the Russian”. Williams Whittle is a 50+ year old ad agency specializing in marketing nonprofits.
