Bethesda-based RP3 Agency has partnered with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company to evolve its brand identity and visual style. The new work – which consists of a logo, style guide and show season artwork – marks the first identity refresh for the organization in more than a decade.
Woolly Mammoth celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. Aiming to further position itself at the forefront of American theater and help elevate its profile in the arts and culture community – both locally and nationwide – it worked with RP3 on a strategic planning process that identified the key territories for – and best articulation of – a new differentiated positioning for Woolly that reflected its unique place in the lives of its audiences.
Noted area photographer Cade Martin, whose experience includes work for brands such as Amtrak, Cadillac and Starbucks – plus all the photos in Capitol Communicator’s “up close and personal” Profile series in Insights – shot the images for the Season 35 show posters, which use a unique portrait style to infuse warmth and humanity into the artwork.
Woolly’s campaign will roll out over the course of the show season.
