Radio market researcher BIA/Kelsey released its 2014 station revenue estimates. According to Radio World, BIA/Kelsey, based in Chantilly, VA, estimated that iHeartMedia’s Los Angeles property KIIS(FM) was the top revenue-producing station in the nation. “Thanks to a hefty $4.3 million revenue increase to an estimated $65.9 million, it topped last year’s number one, Hubbard Radio’s Washington station WTOP(FM), which saw its revenue flat at $63.5 million,” continued the report.
WTOP, which topped the list for the past four years and has been the radio ratings leader in D.C. for years, announced that Laurie Cantillo, the station’s program director, departed when management decided not to renew her contract.
