Since the early 1960s, Ad 2 chapters nationwide have provided pro bono advertising and marketing campaigns to nonprofits in their communities. Ad 2 DC’s 2014-2015 campaign generated 4.9 million impressions – a value of $410,000 – and provided the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH), their selected nonprofit, with advertising, social media, public relations, fundraising and infrastructure support.
The committee finished work in June with DASH, which helps survivors of domestic violence get access to safe housing, and now is in the process of selecting another nonprofit for Ad 2 DC to support.
For the 2013-2014 year, Ad 2 DC worked with the Washington Literacy Center, providing the organization with advertising, social media, public relations, fundraising and infrastructure support.
According to Ad 2 DC, while nonprofits based in D.C. proper are preferred, they also will consider nonprofits located in the broader metro area, such as Montgomery or Prince George’s Counties, and Arlington.
