by | Sep 19, 2017

Van Eperen, an integrated communications agency specializing in public relations, marketing, social media, digital strategy, and advertising, announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Laura Van Eperen, has been named one of Maryland’s 2017 Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record.

The Daily Record created the Most Admired CEOs program to recognize talented business CEOs and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland for their leadership and professionalism. The winners were selected based on professional accomplishments; community service; and letters of reference submitted by co-workers, board members, and community leaders showing the CEO’s leadership and vision.

With more than 25 years of strategic communications experience, Laura Van Eperen leads her firm in providing communication services to clients in a variety of industries. Ethics, integrity, responsiveness, and results are what drive Van Eperen and her agency. Additionally, she is involved with several philanthropic organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Public-Private Partnership Marketing Corporation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. Van Eperen started her career as a broadcast journalist with stories appearing on CBS and NBC affiliates, and on CNN.

“To be a Most Admired CEO means that you have gained the respect and admiration of those around you. It means you are making a positive impact on the lives of others,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Our honorees this year were nominated by co-workers, community organizations and other leaders not just for their professional achievements but because they are truly admired by their peers and employees. The Daily Record is pleased to recognize their leadership in our state and beyond.”

“Thank you to The Daily Record, the Van Eperen team, and fellow business colleagues for this award,” said Laura Van Eperen, CEO of Van Eperen, a Capitol Communicator sponsor. “I’m honored to receive it as the leader of one of Maryland’s best MBE firms with an unparalleled commitment to quality communications.”

The 2017 Most Admired CEOs will be honored Nov. 9 at a dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. at the BWI Hilton. Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the Nov. 10 issue of The Daily Record and available online at TheDailyRecord.com.
