Mobile Posse, Based in Arlington, VA, to be Acquired by Digital Turbine
Mobile Posse, based in Arlington, VA, will be acquired by Digital Turbine, a mobile delivery and app advertising company headquartered in Austin, TX.
The acquisition by Digital Turbine builds on both firms’ strategies of creating frictionless mobile app and mobile content solutions for carriers and OEMs, thus creating effective advertising solutions for brands and app developers.
“The synergies created between the combined companies are truly compelling – from our shared vision and complementary customers to the joint development of all new opportunities. Our two companies have both seen great growth targeting the massive opportunity to improve mobile app and content discovery by working directly with wireless carriers and OEMS. We look forward to continued growth and an exciting future as part of Digital Turbine.”
“We are extremely excited to announce the acquisition of Mobile Posse”, said Bill Stone, CEO of Digital Turbine. “We believe this is a great transaction for our carrier and OEM partners, advertisers, employees and shareholders. With a similar-minded focus on promoting higher user engagement and boosting advertising revenue for mobile operators and OEMs, Mobile Posse’s content discovery platform is the perfect complement to our own existing platform offering.”
The proposed transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020, subject to approval by Digital Turbine’s board along with the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Upon completion of the acquisition, Mobile Posse will become known as Digital Turbine.
