The most pressing issue many nonprofits face is the ability to maintain adequate funding to support their operations and other initiatives. Yet even as the dust begins to settle from a tumultuous year many nonprofits are still trying to figure out the best ways to get the most return on their already stretched investments.
With this in mind, 522 Productions has re-launched #UntoldStory, an annual video contest intended to give back to those who serve our communities and work to make an impact on our world.
Just as in prior years, 522 will work with an organization to create a strategic video that can be used to enhance any current or upcoming marketing initiative. This year, the agency will also be working with two additional nonprofits to create video and social content designed to ignite change.
With #UntoldStory, 522 aims to provide exponential value through developing the tools that will help organizations generate funding year after year. Did you know that 57% of people who view a nonprofit’s video content will actually make a donation?
Not only can authentic video content be used to create a meaningful, actionable ‘virtual event’ that elicits donations, it can also be used to share your nonprofit’s mission and connect with even more people than those who typically interact with your organization.
“Yes, we could write a check for $15,000- but then that’s that,” says Chad Vossen, 522’s co-founder and chief creative officer. “We’re producing content that these winning organizations can use time and time again, so even when the contest is long over, the flow of donations and awareness will continue to grow. It’s about making a donation that can exponentially increase its impact.”
The contest is open to any nonprofit nationwide, and well suited to organizations lacking resources, struggling with content strategy or simply looking to expand their impact. Applications will be accepted through June 1, 2021, with winners announced on May 17, May 24 and June 2.
