Thomas Sanchez, founder and CEO of Social Driver, received the “The Innovator” award from the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at its 39th Annual Gala which was held earlier this month.
Sanchez exemplifies the title of innovator with his entrepreneur focus at the intersection of marketing and technology, stated the GWHCC.
Social Driver is an award-winning, D.C.-based digital innovation agency with offices across the U.S. and it delivers digital and social media solutions for leading companies including Honda, Salesforce.com and Booz Allen Hamilton, stated a release.
Under the leadership of Sanchez, Social Driver has been named the 7th fastest growing agency in the United States by Agency 100, one of D.C.’s Coolest Companies, and an Accenture Protege Company. His agency’s collaborative culture, cutting-edge Pop-Up Innovation Labs and client success stories have been featured on the BBC, CBS and in The Wall Street Journal.
“I am honored to be named ‘The Innovator’ by the Chamber. I’m especially pleased the Chamber gala this year will be focused on technology and the other Hispanic leaders in this sector. We have much to offer in the way of insights, experience and diversity—our region is stronger when everyone has a part to play in creating a dynamic, technology focused future,” said Sanchez.
Earlier this year, the Washington Business Journal named Sanchez one of its Minority Business Leaders of the Year. He also serves on the District of Columbia Innovation and Technology Inclusion Council.
“Congratulations to all of the honorees!” said Angela Franco, GWHCC president and CEO. “They are all incredible role models for future generations and the Chamber feels very proud that our Hispanic business community is so well represented in the technology sector.”
