HZDG branding and design firm president and chief creative officer Karen Zuckerman and her daughter Amanda are featured in Modern Luxury magazine discussing their individual clothing styles.
The duo now work together in Dormify, which was launched when Amanda, then entering her freshman year at Washington University in St. Louis – and now a college grad – and her mom Karen started shopping for her dorm, searching high and low for fashionable dorm decor. According to the Dormify webwite, “after several shopping trips, they were struggling to find chic, sophisticated design options. Through a mix of creative purchasing, DIY, and many, many store visits, they put together a great look, but not exactly what Amanda craved for her dorm decor. Amanda thought, what if we created our own line of fashionable dorm decor ourselves?
As president and chief creative director of a successful integrated creative agency outside Washington, DC, continued the website, “Karen was used to having big ideas. With the resources of HZDG, she created a brand and launched a blog, laying the groundwork for the commerce and content brand that exists today.”
