Photography by Coyle Studios of Baltimore.
Starke joined Hanover, Md-headquartered Ciena in February 2015 and leads a global marketing and communications team of approximately 110 professionals. Earlier in his career, he was president and CEO (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for Wunderman, as well as chairman and CEO of the German arm of Publicis Worldwide.
Starke talks about how to prove the value of marketing – he calls it “the science of marketing” – as well as the value of social media in the B-to-B space.
