The Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a professional development and certification program that strengthens skills in the strategic practice of Public Relations.
The PRSA-National Capital Chapter (NCC) understands the key to success for enabling candidates to achieve their APR goal on-time and within budget.
We begin the process through a preview course called Jump-start, which offers an introduction about the APR and APR+M (for military Public Affairs practitioners). This half-day course is taught by seasoned APRs and focuses on the two components of the examination process including the panel presentation and computer based examination.
Additional 2017 professional development for APR services include two-hour deep-dive seminars on how-to structure and present your case study to a panel as well as core knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) topics held on selected Saturday mornings throughout the year. We also offer free coaching, study-buddy coordination, mock panel presentation practice and a practice session on taking the computer based examination.
