AMA in the AM: Unlock the Baltimore Consumer Mindset

December 8, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Think back to the start of the century. How much have you changed since then? Did you own a cell phone? A tablet? How and where did you make purchases? Consider how much your buying patterns have probably changed over the past 17 years.

Baltimore consumers have also changed. Our next AMA in the AM will explore how consumers in the Baltimore area have adapted their attitudes, values, and lifestyles to meet the ever-changing challenges of today’s world. By attending, you will gain insight into the mindset of Baltimore consumers on a range of topics, including technology, health, self-image, lifestyle, activities, social media, local issues, and purchasing habits.

Steve Markenson, president of WBA Research, will present this deep dive into the Baltimore consumer mindset. WBA Research has been measuring consumer sentiment in the Baltimore region since its inception in 1987. During this detailed session, Steve will present what they have seen and observed since the start of the century based on data from studies completed in 2000, 2006, 2010, and 2016.

During this presentation, Steve will discuss:
• How Consumers’ Interactions with Technology and Social Media Continue to Evolve
• Changing Lifestyle Habits Over Time and Across Generations
• The Attitudes and Values That Make Baltimore Tick
